Long Eddy, NY Wedding Photography - Kayla & Travis!

Kayla can't really remember where or how she heard of me but I am so glad someone told her to call me! We met at one of the diner's in Walton. I got there a little early and the place was packed... so I glanced around to see if anyone looked remotely newly engaged but after the quick scan I realized they weren't there yet. I sat down and went over my material and made sure I had everything in order. I looked up a few times as people walked in and the last time I lifted my head I saw a gorgeous blond girl and a handsome young man walk in the back door... the voice inside my head was saying "Please let this be them and please please please let them hire me!"... sure enough it was Kayla and Travis and as luck should have it they DID hire me!

These two individuals are beautiful people inside and out, and together they are even more beautiful. I spent some time getting to know them during their engagement session and as I watched them I was in awe. This is what LOVE is...I was seeing it so clearly through the lens of my camera (which by the way loved both of them too!)

Kayla and I met one last time before the wedding, we decided on lunch at the Yellow Deli -mmmm good, by the way (Thanks for opening my eyes to this little gem Kayla!). We worked through the schedule (yes, I tend to act as planner as well for those that are going it alone through the process of wedding planning). We wrapped things up and in a few short weeks the wedding day had arrived...and so did the cold rain! ughhh...

I met Kayla at The Shandalee Lake Inn to shoot some images while she was getting ready, during which my sister Maryann (my second shooter and trusty assistant) headed over to Travis & Kayla's farm to catch the guys and their preparations. Soon it was time to head out to the ceremony back at the farm with half of the Bridal party in tow. After a brief incident with the giant limo spinning out with the groomsmen pushing from the back (lucky they chose brown for the color of the suits!), the ceremony got under way and the rest of the day fell into place.

So now on to the pictures, here is a mix of my favorites from the day. To Kayla and Travis...you two are amazing, you are very loved by your family and friends as well as each other. I was honored to be part of your day and I cannot thank you enough for taking a chance on me!

Really...gorgeous...I mean really!

So cute!

He looks at her in awe...

In prayer....

I thought this was fitting.

Who doesn't love boots?

Adorable.

Smokin.

A slight recreation of their engagement shot.

Party bus.

Maryann's shot of the cake on the left! Love the detail...

I love the next series of images..they were really squeezing through there and I was running backwards...dangerous!

You can feel the mood can't you?

 And now for the party!

I'll end with this because I love the socks...
