Heather & Chad | South Kortright, NY | Plum Tree Wedding Photography

My cousin Heather came to me last year asking what dates I had open in 2013... I was like...oh, really!!! Chad and Heather had gotten engaged! Not only was I going to photograph their wedding but my three kids were going to be in it to boot...

Time flew and before we knew it the wedding week was upon us, I call it the wedding week because it literally felt like there was something to celebrate every day! As the week wound down, the wedding day crept up and so did the crazy weather.

Chad & Heather decided to delay the outdoor ceremony while a large and nasty thunderstorm passed through. Once it was gone the ceremony was under way and so were the evenings festivities. Without further delay I give you a glimpse into Chad and Heather's spectacular wedding!

Heather and Chad, thanks for waiting on me!

Jason & Erin | Latham, NY | Wedding Photography

As I arrived for the first time ever at The Century House in Latham, NY, a smile came to my face knowing this was going to be a great place to photograph a wedding.

Erin and her bridesmaids were in one room in the hotel and Jason and his groomsmen were in a room just down the hall, so you can imagine the defense that was being run any time the door opened to the room!

Erin and Jason decided on a first look! I cannot express my opinion enough when it comes to first looks, they take the pressure off! If you are planning your wedding and are toying with the idea of doing a first look I can't recommend it enough. Not only do you get a tremendous amount of pressure off of your shoulders it is much easier for your photographer to get plenty of intimate shots that they may not be able to in front of 200 people. :-) Just sayin...

The ceremony and cocktail hour were being held in beautiful white tents on the back lawn of the hotel, I couldn't have asked for better lighting for a ceremony especially when the sun was blazing that day. After the ceremony we moved to the reception in the main ballroom where Erin's vision came to life. All of the details were beyond astonishing.

As the guests began to eat, I stole Erin and Jason for some intimate portraits of just the two of them. After that they were ready to party the night away with family and friends.

Erin & Jason, it was a pleasure spending your most important day with you. I wish you all the happiness a lifetime can bring!  Cheers! Patti
