As long as I have known her she has been a kind soul. I was flattered when she came to me a short time ago asking if I would be her wedding photographer. The big day is set for next June and I am thrilled to be a part of it.
Steph was brave enough to come sit at my "home office" aka the kitchen table, with my "assistants" aka my three crazy kids doing laps around us on their tricycles... we began to plan her and Cormac's engagement session which we were both very excited for. Our first attempt got delayed but have no fear we kicked into high gear a week later in Gilboa, NY at Cormac's dad's place...wow, what scenery. Adding Steph and Cormac to the mix made it that much better.
Cormac was a little nervous but I put him at ease as soon as possible, I have to say I think he held up amazingly well and at the end of three hours...yah, I said three hours...he was giving me suggestions of where we could shoot next. Just when I thought we had exhausted all the nooks and cranny's of this valley, Cormac chimed in and said there was this great waterfall just down below the other field if I was up for it. I'm usually up for anything and most people that know me would say I am not that easily scared. Well, I have to say my life flashed in front of my eyes as the three of us climbed on the tractor and headed to the other field...Steph could see the slight fear in my face as we crossed a small gorge and another waterfall might I add within inches of the edge, she calmly but loudly (over the roar of the tractor) said "don't worry Pat we do this all the time...".
Was it worth it? definitely! Would I do it again? You betcha...
Steph and Cormac, I can't wait to be there for you on your wedding day, just leave the tractor home...OK?
I just went threw your last shoot, have a suggestion for you, the road shots, how about changing some of them for a Butch Cassidy shot where he took his girlfriend and put her on the front of the a bike, peddling her in circles, the song was Rain drops are falling on my head,,
